Roof care, explained

Know the condition before choosing the solution.

A practical guide to aging shingles, maintenance, repairs, and responsible replacement.

What changes as shingles age?

Asphalt shingles gradually lose oils through heat, ultraviolet exposure, and seasonal weather. They may become less flexible, while granules loosen and surface wear becomes more visible.

That does not automatically mean the entire roof has failed. Decking, underlayment, flashing, ventilation, and leak history all matter.

When rejuvenation can make sense

A treatment may suit a roof with weathered but intact asphalt shingles, sound decking, no active leaks, and manageable localized repairs.
